The bus accident killed the driver, Wei Wang, a 50-year-old Taiwanese national when he was thrown through the windshield and passenger Troy Nguyen, 20, of Royserford, Pa., who died after being transported to a hospital in New Brunswick.

Police believe the privately chartered bus had about 45 passengers. About 40 of those passengers were taken to area hospitals and two remain in critical condition.

The car was carrying five people, including the woman’s husband, their two-year-old child, her sister, and her brother-in-law. The brother-in-law was driving the car at the time of the accident. The officer will also be required to install an ignition lock on his car, complete an alcohol treatment program, and serve five years of probation. He has resigned from the NYPD.

The 65-year old driver of the Honda was the least seriously injured woman in her vehicle.  Her condition was not released but authorities believe her injuries were not life-threatening.  A 78-year old woman from Yonkers in the vehicle died after being transported to the hospital for serious injuries.  Two other women in the vehicle, a 76-year old woman from Pleasantville and a 75-year old from Yonkers, were taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where they are in critical condition.
